A bracelet inspired by a tree that could feed the world.

This design grew out of two years of conversation about how breadfruit could create new opportunities for the people of St. Croix — and it became the founding piece of our "Jewelry with a Mission" philosophy. Every Breadfruit Bracelet purchase supports the Trees That Feed Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to self-sustaining communities and entrepreneurs through agroforestry.

There's real substance behind the symbolism: a single breadfruit tree can absorb up to 1.3 tons of carbon over its 80-100 year lifespan, and breadfruit itself is increasingly recognized as a superfood with real potential for food security and economic opportunity across the Virgin Islands. In Hawaiian culture, breadfruit is known as 'ulu — named for the god Kū, who according to legend sacrificed himself during a famine and transformed into the tree to feed his family, with shoots from that first tree spread throughout the islands so no one would ever go hungry again.

Each bracelet is handcrafted in our St. Croix studio, so wearing it means carrying a piece of that mission with you — making the world a better place, one bracelet at a time.
