Opals

Our opals are hand-picked by Kris and Whealan at gem shows — each stone chosen for its fire, character, and color rather than ordered from a catalogue. We tend to favor Australian Boulder Opals, typically warm and earthy with a radiant rainbow of colors peeking through the nooks and crannies, and Mexican Fire Opals, with their intense hues of yellow, orange, and red. One of the most ancient and revered gemstones in the world, the opal is said to carry the colors of all other stones within it — a stone of creativity, imagination, and wonder. Each piece is handcrafted in our St. Croix studio in sterling silver or 14k gold.
