Sports Illustrated Explores St. Croix & ib designs
We recently were graced with a visit from Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Kamie Crawford. SI is highlighting adventures of their models, diving into the bespoke and local cultures. Kamie and Sports Illustrated ventured around St. Croix exploring our beautiful beaches, island jewelry from ib designs, clothing by My Sisters Closet, local cuisine Chicken Shack and Mutiny Island Vodka.
We showcased a little slice of our Crucian culture by featuring Chaney and our signature collection, Infinity! Most of you might already know, Chaney is broken pieces of china found in the ground of older properties or on our magical beaches in St. Croix from the 1750's to early 1900's. Growing up, local kids on St. Croix would find the treasures and use as play money. Hence the name "Chaney" China-Money. Read further about Chaney on our "Chaney Lore" blog post.
Our Infinity Collection was Whealan's first design long before we ever had a storefront. The Infinity design reflects the endless soul fulfilling feelings invoked by the Caribbean Sea and local color of its people. May the pieces be worn as a symbol of everlasting friendship, love or memories.
